Version 1.8.2.2 of Paid Memberships Pro is out with a handful of bug fixes. The main fix is with the Recaptcha library. We have updated it to avoid conflicts with other plugins still using the older version of the Recaptcha library.

Please update the Paid Memberships Pro from the plugins page of your WordPress dashboard. You can also get the latest version of PMPro here or version 1.8.2.2 specifically here.

The full list of updates is below.

  • BUG: Fixed conflicts when other plugins with older Recaptcha libraries are also activated. Prefixed our copy of the Recaptcha library and functions with pmpro_ and added code to handle cases where an older version of recaptch is used at checkout.
  • BUG: Fixed warnings in pmpro_formatPrice. (Thanks, Andrea Carraro)

Hi Jason,

My name is Bernardo. We recently upgrade to the latest version of Paid Memberships Pro (1.8.2.2) and the following bug appear: Some stripe payments have the customer description EMPTY (name, email, etc.).

Is a really big problem. Is possible to download the previously version? Did you have notice this bug before?

Thanks in advance… and congratulations for your product!

You can find previous versions of PMPro here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/paid-memberships-pro/developers/

If you are using Stripe and have had people check out for recurring payments, the synchronization on those new members might break under an older version of PMPro. (the latest version uses sub ids to track subs instead of customer ids). So FYI.

I’d like to investigate this more though. Can you post something to our member forum so I can try to reproduce and take a look. I’ll try to run some tests based on what you said here, but may need more information to reproduce this.

Hi Jason,

Thank you so much for your fast response.

Of course I’ll try to help you. Here you have an example of a confirmation email from stripe, with the user information EMPTY:

We have posted this issue on the wordpress PMPro plugin forum, and another developer said that he have the same problem (we are not the only one). Please check it out.

How could we help you with more information?

Best,
