2. Install and Activate the Plugin

Paid Memberships Pro is available in the WordPress repository and can be easily installed through the WordPress dashboard.

Install and Activate PMPro through the WordPress dashboard

  1. Log in to the WordPress dashboard for your site.
  2. Navigate to Plugins > Add New.
  3. Search for “Paid Memberships Pro” by Paid Memberships Pro (It should be the first result you see).
  4. Click “Install Now”.
  5. Once the plugin is installed in your WordPress site, navigate to the Plugins screen in the WordPress admin.
  6. Locate “Paid Memberships Pro” in the list of plugins.
  7. Click “Activate” to activate the plugin.

Install and Activate PMPro from a .zip File

  • You can upload the .zip file of Paid Memberships Pro via the Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin screen.
  • Or, upload the unzipped ‘paid-memberships-pro‘ plugin folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ folder of your site’s web hosting environment.

Once the plugin is installed in your WordPress site:

  • Navigate to the Plugins screen in the WordPress admin.
  • Locate “Paid Memberships Pro” in the list of plugins.
  • Click “Activate” to activate the plugin.

3. Continue to Initial Plugin Setup

Now you are ready to set up your membership levels and other plugin settings.
