Jason recently wrote up a simple recipe to allow membership checkout in a modal window. This allows you to create a button (in any page, post, widget) that will instantly display the membership checkout form. Read on for more information, how to set it up, and some notes.
A little known feature of our Register Helper Add On is the
pmpro_signup module – which embeds a membership signup form anywhere on your site. This is great for landing pages, or for sites with one free membership level that want to override the default process.
How it Works
The shortcode displays a membership checkout module and accepts the following parameters:
- level – The Membership Level ID to use for the checkout form. (Required; No default; Accepts: Numerical membership level ID)
- short – Optionally hide the “Confirm Email” and “Confirm Password” fields. (Not required; Default: false; Accepts: true or 1, false or 0)
- intro – Optionally hide the “Register for LEVEL NAME” text above the form. (Not required; Default: true; Accepts: true or 1, false or 0)
- button – Optionally change the “Submit” button text on the form (Not required; Default: “Signup »”; Accepts: Your text)
