The Memberships > License page allows members to validate their license key and gain additional access. A license key unlocks the ability to install, activate, and update premium Add Ons in your membership site.
License keys are only assigned to customers with an active paid membership. View current pricing »
Note: If you are only using Free Add Ons you do not need a license key. The core Paid Memberships Pro plugin and all Free Add Ons can be used for free, forever, without a valid license.
Where to Find Your License Key
Your license key can be found in your membership confirmation email. The key is also accessible in your Membership Account page under My Account > License Key.
Validating a PMPro License Key
- Highlight and copy the license key from your Membership Account page.
- Navigate to Memberships > License in your membership site’s WordPress admin.
- Paste the copied license key in the input field.
- Click “Validate Key“.
GPLv2 License
Paid Memberships Pro and our Add Ons are distributed under the GPLv2 license. This means, among other things, that you may use the software on this site or any other site free of charge.
Paid Memberships Pro offers plans for automatic updates of Add Ons and premium support. These plans include a license key which we recommend for all public websites running Paid Memberships Pro. A license key allows you to automatically install new Add Ons and update active Add Ons when new security, bug fix, or feature enhancement is released.
