Your PMPro Hosted site runs on a dedicated DigitalOcean droplet configured specifically for membership sites. Each guide here assumes that baseline environment. If something in your setup differs or you’re not sure where to start, contact our support team directly. You’re always talking to the people who built and maintain the stack.

Keep reading for help with the tasks you’re most likely to need: managing DNS, clearing caches, accessing hosting credentials, configuring transactional email, and using the hosting dashboard to fine tune settings.

There is also documentation to help you understand the admin tasks handled by our team as part of your initial site migration, including how we safely pause your site so no data is missed in the cutover.

Backups

This page covers what’s backed up, where backups live, how long we keep them, and how to request a restore.

DNS and Domain Management

When your site migrates to PMPro Hosting, your domain needs to point to your new server. This guide explains what DNS is, the two options you have for managing it, and how to update your domain’s settings after migration.

Hosting Admin Dashboard

This document covers each panel in the PMPro Hosting admin page, what is shown, and recommended settings.

Malware Protection and Cleanup

Every PMPro Hosting site runs a daily malware and compromise check automatically. It’s not an Add On or paid upgrade. If something looks wrong, our operations team is notified.

Migration

When you sign up for PMPro Hosting, we handle the migration for you. You give us admin access to your current WordPress site, and our team moves it onto a new server configured specifically for Paid Memberships Pro.

New Site Setup

If you signed up for PMPro Max and you’re starting fresh (not migrating an existing site) this guide is for you.

Performance Tuning

PMPro Hosting is tuned specifically for the mix of public content, dynamic member pages, and transactional checkouts that PMPro sites actually serve.

SSH Access

Some advanced tasks, like editing files directly on your PMPro Hosting server, require SSH access. This guide walks you through whether you will need SSH access and how to prepare your local device to access your hosting environment.

Security

Details on every layer of security that is in place, by default, on every PMPro Hosting site: nothing to configure, nothing to maintain. You do not need and should not use any additional security plugins or third-party paid tools in your PMPro-hosted site.

Staging Sites

A staging site is a separate copy of your site that you can use to test changes safely before applying them to your live site. PMPro Hosting offers staging sites, but we do them differently than most hosts.

Transactional Email

PMPro Hosting includes built-in support for transactional emails sent by your WordPress site. This service is designed to reliably deliver important, site-generated messages while protecting overall email deliverability for all customers.
