pmpro_subscription_payment_failed

Fires when a recurring subscription payment fails for a member in Paid Memberships Pro.

do_action("pmpro_subscription_payment_failed", MemberOrder $order);

This action is triggered whenever a payment gateway reports a failed recurring payment for a subscription. Developers can use this hook to take custom actions such as notifying administrators, logging the failure, alerting the member, integrating with CRM or accounting tools, or updating related user meta data.

As of v3.6, the $order parameter represents the current pending order created or updated for the failed payment attempt. Previously, this action passed the most recent successful order associated with the subscription.

Parameters

$order

MemberOrder object; The order object representing the failed payment attempt. Includes user ID, membership level, gateway, and subscription transaction ID data.
