This step serves as your verification guide after the other steps are complete.

Work through these items after completing all wizard steps.

Verify Membership Levels

• Review at Memberships > Settings > Levels
• Configure expiration dates, trials, and billing limits not migrated in Step 2
• Verify pricing and billing cycles are correct

Verify User Memberships and Orders

• Check Memberships > Members for correct membership assignments
• Spot-check a few members: Verify their membership status, level, and order history
• Review Memberships > Orders and verify order statuses and totals look correct

Test the Checkout Process

• Verify the payment gateway is processing correctly. You can create a discount code for $1 to test this.
• Test the member account page and member-only content access

Configure Email Templates

• Go to Memberships > Settings > Email Templates
• Customize your welcome, cancellation, and receipt emails
• Send test emails to verify delivery

Install Recommended Add Ons

Based on common MemberPress feature usage, you may want to install:

• Series: Drip-Feed Content: for time-released content
• Group Accounts: for corporate/team memberships
• Courses for Membership: for course/lesson content
• Extra Expiration Warning Emails: for renewal reminder emails

Update Site Links and Navigation

• Update menu links to point to the new PMPro membership pages (account, checkout, etc.)
• Update any MemberPress shortcodes ([mepr-*]) to PMPro equivalents ([pmpro_*])
• Set up 301 redirects from old MemberPress URLs to their PMPro equivalents if needed

Deactivate MemberPress

• Only deactivate MemberPress after you have fully verified the migration is correct
• Take a final full database backup before deactivating
• Consider keeping MemberPress data in the database temporarily for reference before deleting it
